Baldwin Hinge – 2 inch

2 inch Baldwin hinge – stripped and treated with a black wax

24 in stock

2 inch Baldwin hinges were mostly used for thinner internal pitch pine doors in the attic or the likes of alcove cupboard doors since they were first made in 1880!

We have stripped the paint and restored each one of these hinges by hand, finishing with black patinating wax to give them a sheen and protect them from the elements.

There’s no way of knowing what year these hinges were made and how long they have been fitted but in my experience restoring nearly 300 front doors and hundreds of internal pitch pine doors you can be sure that they will still be in use when the grand children are adults!
